Negate the Old forces' Arrangement

practitioners outside of China have discussed is what happened to Dafa
disciple Liu Chengjun.  Some fellow practitioners know that he had
supernormal capabilities and his body had passed through seven iron
gates in order to escape from the forced labor camp. Therefore, they
wondered, why he was persecuted to death?  Later it was revealed
that when he intercepted the TV program he had the one notion: "This
can get me killed."  As a result, the evil forces took advantage
of his loophole.



This whole affair basically shows that Dafa disciples cannot accept the
arrangement of the old forces in and of their notions or actions. 
This is, indeed, a very serious matter. Let's think further about
this.  How did he accept the arrangement of the old forces?
Actually, he acknowledged the old principles of mutual generation and
mutual inhibition. He felt that he was doing something very important
to validate Dafa. As a result, the persecution from the old forces
would be far more severe for him: the bigger the event, the higher the
price.  As for the offspring of the old forces, this notion is a
matter of course. However, when the Fa is rectifying the universe, we
the Fa-rectification period disciples should think and act according to
the principles of the new universe, the principles of 
Fa-rectification, and the requirements of Master.



Master said, in "Teaching and Explaining the Fa at the Metropolitan New
York Fa Conference," "So in the past the law of mutual generation and
mutual inhibition was absolute, and when a being wanted to do a certain
thing, he absolutely couldn't just do it. Those Gods... you all wonder
why Gods have to wait for the right time or opportunity to come along
if they're going to save somebody, and why it's said that 'the right
time' or      'the right opportunity hasn't
come yet,' or that 'the opportunity is not ripe yet.' They couldn't do
it because the law of mutual generation and mutual inhibition has been
pretty much absolute and was restraining everything."



Personally, I, too, have accepted this persecution from deep inside. I
remember that, right after July 20, 1999, I was kind of excited.
Because I had read many cultivation stories, I thought that we had
cultivated for quite some time and there were no hardships. It was even
embarrassing for me to say that, compared with people from the ancient
times, we had it easy.  Thus, when the persecution started, I
talked with several practitioners and thought that finally, we were
going to have real tribulations and real cultivation. There are two
issues reflected in our notions: one is thinking that it is fine to
deal with Dafa disciples with the principle of mutual generation and
mutual inhibition. The second is putting personal cultivation first and
failing to recognize the meaning of the rectification of the universe,
which far exceeds personal cultivation, and the relationship between
personal cultivation and Fa-rectification.



Right now, let us discuss what is so special about Beijing, the center
of the evil forces. Many of us will follow the principle of mutual
generation and mutual inhibition to think about and accept the severity
of the persecution. Therefore, we need to be very clear about this
matter: We can talk about the persecution created by the evil beings or
their schemes. However, we cannot acknowledge the reasons for their
existence, which is the logic of the evil beings and their ways of
protecting their own existence.  After we are clear in our mind,
we will not acknowledge them and, in addition, we should break up
everything they have.



The old saying, "Ten thousand enemy soldiers die, and three thousand of
our soldiers die", implies this.  Some practitioners harbor that
kind of notion unknowingly. They feel that it is difficult to eliminate
the evil dens and it is also time and energy consuming. They think that
we have to pay a high price to break away from a forced labor camp or a
prison: how long should we go on a hunger strike or how sick do we have
to be? They think that the more truth clarifying materials we pass out,
the higher the risk we have to take. When I talked to a practitioner
from the South who had been arrested before, those words rolled off his
tongue, "What I did was too significant!" Master Said, in "Teaching the
Fa at the 2002 Fa conference in Boston," "The old forces don't dare to
oppose our clarifying the truth or saving sentient beings. What's key
is to not let them take advantage of the gaps in your state of mind
when you do things.  In "Eliminating Your Last Attachment(s),"
Master said, "Over the past year, students' own karma, inadequate
understanding of the Fa, inability to let go of attachments amidst
tribulations, inability to deal with things using righteous thoughts
amidst painful trials, and so on, are the main reasons behind evil's
escalation of the persecution, and are the true fundamental excuses
that the evil has used to damage the Fa."



Furthermore, toward fellow practitioners who are protesting against the
persecution, we may entertain such notions: the harder you fight
against the persecution, the more you will suffer. The more you bring
up charges against the perpetrators the more severely you will be
persecuted. Sometimes, we have the impression that the more truth
clarifying work we do, the longer the duration, and the higher risk we
have to take. The saying goes, "Walk along the river bank long enough,
your shoes will surely get wet." In addition, we may also entertain the
notion: "What if something happens?"



Sometimes, when a central figure among the practitioners breaks out of
the forced labor camp, a few of us will think, "The ones who did
unimportant things are still in the camp, but he came out!" Those are
old, selfish, and self-protecting traits.  Those notions can be
perceived easily. Thus, when we wrongly acknowledge the old principles
of mutual generation and mutual inhibition, we create a huge
obstruction for our Fa-rectification. The evil beings use this to
persecute more severely those practitioners who had leadership ability
and also have the courage to stand up against them. Meanwhile the
outcome can also serve as a warning to other Dafa practitioners.



Many practitioners can not let go of worry and fear and acknowledge the
evil logic.  That is why the evil beings in the forced labor camp
behave just like that. The incident on August 25, 2006 in Beijing is a
good example. Fellow practitioners of Beijing, do you think that they
only wanted to persecute the strong and courageous practitioners? I
think that they were just using that to suppress all practitioners in
Beijing and create more terror. In reality, it shows the fear in their
hearts. How did they succeed? Wasn't that because of the minds of
Beijing practitioners who had already acknowledged that? If we can let
go of our "selfishness" and "fear" and absolutely refuse to acknowledge
their logic: "The better work you do, the severer the persecution," we
would then see the true nature of their fear.  Only because we did
too little can they be so rampant! If the banners and truth clarifying
materials were still plenty out there under a suppressing environment,
would they dare to act that way? I don't think so. They probably would
die of exhaustion.  In other words, if the more they suppress us,
the more truth clarifying banners would show up.  They will
collapse and will not know to do.



In "Eliminating Your Last Attachment(s)", Master said, "If you are not
afraid, the factor that would make you afraid will cease to exist."
From my personal experience in the forced labor camp, the more actively
I resisted the persecution, the less I feared. I believe that is the
truth.



Master said, in "Dafa Disciples' righteous thoughts are powerful," "Why
should you, a Dafa disciple, fear the evil ones when enduring
persecution? The crux of the matter is that you have attachments. If
not, do not endure passively, and face the evil people with righteous
thoughts at all times. No matter what the situation, do not cooperate
with the evil's demands, orders, or what it instigates. If everyone
does this the environment won't be this way."



Some practitioners said that we should not stress how special Beijing
is. This remark is rational. However, we are Dafa practitioners and our
understanding is far beyond that.  We should not be restricted by
anything.  When we say that Beijing is special, we are actually
saying that what Beijing would be like under normal conditions. We are
by no means acknowledging the old forces' using this factor to
persecute us. Of course, they are thinking in that fashion but we will
not acknowledge that and will not let it happen.



Many fellow practitioners understand this, that we should let go of our
attachments and leave no gaps to be explored by the old forces. All
together we must negate the old forces' arrangement, strengthen our
righteous thoughts, and maintain our firm belief.  I have seen
negating the old forces being discussed many times in experience
sharing articles. However, we have not been able to maintain that state
of mind all the time.

I am going to cite two examples: One fellow practitioner from other
city started a hunger strike to protest. As a result, he was being
brutally forced fed and blood oozed out of his ears.  The evil
beings were worried and, in other words, the evil beings in a different
dimension could not stand it any more. This practitioner dreamed at
night that two divine beings came to see him. One god (the old forces')
said to him,  "You can get out the forced labor camp, but you are
a special case and you have to leave with symptoms of hepatitis. He was
too anxious to get out, so he agreed silently. Later he was released
for symptoms of hepatitis. Surprisingly, after he returned home, he was
rolling in bed with excruciating pain for two months.  He finally
understood that it was the price that he had to pay for acknowledging
the arrangement of the old forces.



The other practitioner went on a hunger strike for two months at a
detention center and was transferred to the forced labor camp.  He
really appreciated Master for arranging a way for him to break out. In
addition, fellow practitioners went directly to the camp and tried to
rescue him.  The forced labor camp was about to release him. This
practitioner decided to pull out his intravenous tube. In the following
days, he felt numbness creep up his legs. He had this idea that
perhaps, this is the arrangement of Master and I should get out this
with sickness karma. He also consented to that in that moment. Well, he
was released, but his legs have been so weak for the last 6 months that
he has not been able to get back to validating Dafa.



 He finally realized that Master explained very clearly before in
"Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Chicago Conference," "We're fundamentally
negating all of their things, and all of, and only, the things you do
while negating and getting rid of them is mighty-virtue. It's not that
you're cultivating amidst the ordeals they created. Rather, you are to
walk your own path well while not acknowledging them, not even
acknowledging the elimination of their ordeals' manifestations. (Applause)
So looking at it from this angle, what we need to do is completely
negate the old forces. Dafa disciples and I don't even acknowledge the
manifestations of their last-ditch efforts."



Those two practitioners basically negated the persecution. Actually,
Master has arranged the paths for them to succeed. At the same time,
the old forces really did put forth their last-ditch efforts. They
refused to back off and made Dafa disciples pay. They forced their
principle of mutual generation and mutual inhibition as well as their
other arrangements on us. Meanwhile if Dafa disciples can keep
righteous thoughts and can look at the persecution from the standpoint
of the Fa, then Dafa disciples can negate all these arrangements. 
Dafa disciples can walk on the path of cultivation and play a greater
role.  However, many practitioners acknowledge the old forces and
the old principles that have not been acknowledged by Master or the new
universe.



The so called principles of the old universe, they really think that it
is so and should be that way. However, during the Fa-rectification, in
the new universe, those principles are warped and false.  Only if
we can have righteous thoughts and righteous actions, Master will
reinforce the principles in Dafa for us. In "For Whom Do You Exist,"
Master said, "The most difficult things for people to abandon are their
notions. Some people cannot change, even if they have to give up their
lives for fake principles. Yet notions are themselves acquired
postnatally." Aren't the old forces like this? For Dafa disciples, we
should unconditionally harmonize what Master wants and know and make
sure that we are not interfered by the old forces. Thus, we will not be
led by them.  We will follow the guidance of the Fa and believe in
Master and the Fa.



Master said, in "Teaching the Fa in San Francisco 2005,"  "As for
what form the future cosmos or future lives are to take, and in what
fashion they will exist, or what type of Fa and what means of saving
people will be left to the future." In "Teaching the Fa at the 2004
Washington DC Fa Conference," Master said, "But despite that, all lives
came for this Fa, so they should assimilate to and harmonize with the
Fa positively, and they can't impose things on the Fa or on the
future." The old forces, including the old principle of mutual
generation and mutual inhibition, can only comply with the
rectification of Dafa, but not the other way around.  They are the
ones whom the Dafa should rectify and so, of course, how can we comply
with them?



 "The Four Great Elements have weathered away. And the old Fa is disintegrating."(In "The Fa Rectifies All," Hong Yin II)
When we look at it with our eyes, mankind, from the surface, proceeds
according to the old principles of the universe. In reality, those
principles are no longer true from what Master told us. What we witness
is nothing more than the glow from the embers before the fire goes out
completely. When we send forth righteous thoughts or clarify the truth,
we should not look at the changes on the surface, which may not be
obvious, and consider it ineffective. They are only reflecting the
process of our own unresolved issues and the final elimination of the
evil elements.
