What Master says is the Fa. As disciples, we should do as Master says - only this can lead to righteous enlightenment. In 'Lecture at the Western United States Fa Conference,' Master told a cultivation story of a new disciple that followed his master’s example by jumping into a wine gourd. 'Viewed with human thinking, how could it be possible for a person so big to jump into such a small wine gourd?' I know that since he was a new disciple who had just entered the school, he himself did not know the true principle behind it either. However, based on the disciple’s righteous faith towards his master, he followed his example - he jumped into the wine gourd.
We are Fa rectification disciples, and at present, Master tells us to clarify the truth to the general public. It does not matter whether we are able to fully understand the meaning of Master’s words at the moment, we ought to approach the situation with faith, a clear mind and initiative; this then is righteous enlightenment. In the process of doing so, we will gradually understand the true meaning behind Master’s words. However, when one is attached to one’s own current understanding and old notions, one may not be able to clarify the truth with a clear mind and initiative. This is already an evil path.
Speaking from another angle, in the process of studying the Fa and cultivating according to Master’s requirements, a clear understanding of the Fa at one’s own level is essential. A rational understanding of the Fa can strengthen our righteous faith and will help us to more solidly clarify the truth using wisdom and initiative.
We clearly know the consequences faced by those who are against Dafa. However, many of these people who oppose Dafa have been deceived by the vicious lies; it’s not the will of their true heart to sin against the Fa. However, if they remain ignorant, they will be eliminated. Being ignorant of the truth, they assist the evil and consequently are headed for destruction. But, these lives have come from high levels to attain the Fa. And as Fa-rectification disciples, can we watch them be deceived by the evil? No, we cannot allow it. A God has great compassion. Even a true kind-hearted person will not remain impervious to another being in mortal danger once he learns of the truth. Let alone we are future Gods who have assimilated to the principles of Dafa, “Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.” Therefore, by clarifying the truth to people, they are given the opportunity to have a correct understanding of Dafa and to escape the danger of being eliminated. This is a very natural action for Dafa disciples.
As a Dafa disciple, Dafa has created everything for you, including your life. You exist within Dafa. Now, evil is slandering Dafa and Master, and persecuting Dafa disciples. Thus, isn’t persecuting Dafa disciples the same as persecuting particles of Dafa? And by persecuting particles of Dafa, isn’t it also persecuting the Fa? Master and Dafa have given and created everything for you, to allow you to exist in immense happiness. When the evil slanders Master and Dafa, shouldn’t we safeguard Master and Dafa? Shouldn’t we eradicate the evils that dare to damage Dafa? How do we eradicate them? If we use a stick to hit the evil beings in this dimension, can we reach them? Thus, sending forth righteous thoughts becomes a very natural way to eliminate them.
After I truly understood the Fa principles, I clarified the truth having even more motivation, initiative, and wisdom. I am no longer just doing things for the sake of doing them. I will not feel complacent over handing out almost one thousand truth-clarifying flyers yesterday nor will I get depressed and uneasy if I distributed only a few copies of truth-clarifying materials today. Instead I hold a calm, steadfast and pure heart; asking for nothing but attaining naturally to offer salvation to all sentient beings and to assist Master in this Fa-rectification period.
Based upon our righteous, rock-solid faith in Master, let us earnestly study the Fa with a pure heart; based on a true understanding of Dafa, let us eradicate the evil even more consciously with firm, righteous thoughts. “Validate the Fa with reason, clarify the truth with wisdom, spread the Fa and offer people salvation with benevolence.” (From “Rationality”)
