[PureInsight.org] According to the August 12 report on Minghui, fifty-three-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Zhang Shuxian from Tumen City, Jilin Province was illegally detained by officers from the Tumen City Domestic Security Division on August 7, 2014. She was tortured to death within a day. When her family saw her body, she had dark bruises and wounds all over her chest, abdomen and legs.
Officers from the Yuegong Street Police Station went to Mrs. Zhang's home at around 2:00 p.m. the next day and told her husband to go to the Yuegong Street Police Station. When the supervisor came, he told her husband, "Let's go to the city hospital." They told him that Mrs. Zhang had suffered a heart attack and was in emergency care. According to her husband, Mrs. Zhang had no previous heart condition.
When Mrs. Zhang's husband saw her at the hospital, she was lying in a hospital bed connected to an IV with fluids. However, her body was cold, and she showed no signs of life. She had dark bruises and wounds all over her chest, abdomen and legs. Her dentures were also gone. She apparently died from torture.
Mrs. Zhang's husband was shocked and angered by the sight of his wife — she was a perfectly healthy person the day before her disappearance. When the family went to the city police department to get information about their loved one's death, the police provided none, saying that they would rather “keep it private”.
The life of an originally healthy person was brutally and unreasonably ended this way. This happens frequently under the evil CCP (Chinese communist party) regime, which disregards human life and kills and arrests people at will. According to the August 14 report on Minghui, twenty-seven Falun Gong practitioners were illegally detained on that day. They were facing torture and illegal sentences. Some even died from forced organ harvesting.
