Ghosts
With bitter hearts
making light devoid
innocence crushed
under a brandish of lies.
Such monsters unleashed
where much blood spent
only ghosts remaining
behind your coldest eyes.
(for the perpetrators of torture and
the murder of countless Falun Gong
practitioners of conscience in China).

behind the disguise
tears fall with softer flame
like windows to the soul
sentinel come heart and whole
when awakened one the same.

beyond the lies
arise from this cold and grey
where horizons only blind
by our worlds defined
here closer to the day.
