Performances were scheduled in the afternoon on the last day of the Florida Fa- conference. Dafa disciples were singing on the stage, playing musical instruments, giving martial arts performances, performing dances, and so forth. Everything was Dafa disciples’ work. Listening and watching quietly off-stage, I felt the mighty power of Dafa. Dafa disciples had injected new meanings into human cultural forms by means of the purity and wisdom cultivated out of Dafa.
Master said in “Lecture on the Fa at the Washington, D.C. International Conference”:
“Sometimes when I read the PureInsight web site, I feel that the new beings and the new humankind have truly begun now, because your understanding has already managed to align with those of the new historic period and those of the most righteous beings. Dafa disciples are establishing for humankind a foundation for the future.”
At first, due to the lack of deep understanding of the Fa on my part, I had not been very clear about how to thoroughly clarify the truth and lay the foundations for the future people. Now I have become fully awakened by the sudden realization that any popular cultural activity in human society can become a tool for verifying Dafa and clarifying the truth. Whenever we make use of these forms and fill them with new meanings, the new culture of mankind is being formed naturally.
Since I began to cultivate Dafa, I have gradually come to realize that many things in human society are degenerate, and they all add fuel to the flame in causing human degeneration. Therefore, I increasingly stayed away from ordinary people’s entertainments, such as music, dance, cinema and TV shows. However, I was never very clear as to how human culture should be in the future. Because of this, I ended up always criticizing ordinary people’s things and making them sound worthless, but I did not know with what to replace them. Now I understand that we do not need in fact to completely eliminate everything in ordinary people’s society, and that the truly bad things in ordinary people’s society provide the structure underlying the cultural forms. When we fill these forms with new meanings, the old culture drops away and a new culture is formed.
At the same time, because the works created by Dafa disciples contain the inner connotation of Dafa, more and more everyday people will begin to like Dafa disciples’ works, and hence, those works with demonic nature will increasingly lose their audience, as the new human culture eventually replaces the old culture.
Talking from another aspect, Master told disciples to clarify the truth thoroughly, but what does “clarify the truth thoroughly” mean? In addition to what we are doing presently, this Fa conference helped me see other possibilities. When Dafa disciple’s works and talents are demonstrated before the ordinary people, and the ordinary people experience the magnificence of them, then this will be like telling the ordinary people, in a tangible way, of the purity and magnificence that Dafa has brought to its cultivators. Then, won’t it be evident at a glance what Dafa is all about? Furthermore, since these works contain Dafa’s inner connotations, its value is even more obvious so that when the Dafa works spread in the human world, the evil and bad things will be readily cleaned up.
I have come to understand more deeply what Master told us in the past that we should master the knowledge and the skills of ordinary peoples’ society well. We should make full use of the knowledge and skills we have learned in the human world, and create various works – music, paintings, calligraphy, sculptures, designs, and various kinds of literature – with the wisdom we have obtained from Dafa. Let us bring the magnificence of Falun Dafa to all kindhearted people through these forms ordinary people like, clarifying the truth thoroughly and creating the new human culture.
