[PureInsight.org] On Thursday October 16, 2014, over 4,000 Falun Gong practitioners from across the globe gathered at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, California to attend the annual Falun Dafa experience sharing conference. Around 10 AM in the morning, Falun Gong founder Master Li Hongzhi arrived at the conference. Master Li first gave a speech to all the cheering Falun Gong practitioners, and then sat down to answer questions raised by Falun Gong practitioners attending the conference. It took over two hours for Master Li to finish his speech and answer the questions. All the Falun Gong practitioners at the meeting were fascinated by the presence of Master Li. Several Falun Gong practitioners shared their experiences practicing the principles of “Zhen Shan Ren” in their daily lives. Some of the stories were really amazing. Other Falun Gong practitioners also shared their experiences clarifying the truth to the public about the persecution against Falun Gong.
The conference hall appeared very solemn and spectacular, yet it was also very peaceful. A portrait of Master Li Hongzhi as well as a banner of Falun Gong’s Fa-Wheel was seen at the center of the stage. Two big banners which read, “Compassion can harmonize Heaven and Earth, ushering in spring” and “Righteous thoughts can save the people in this world” were hung at the two sides of the stage.
Over 4,000 Falun Gong practitioners from all around the world attended this conference. Twelve Falun Gong practitioners shared their cultivation stories. Some of these practitioners told stories of how they benefitted greatly from clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to the public as well as exposing the evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its brutal persecution against Falun Gong.
When Master Li appeared at the meeting around 10 AM in the morning, every one stood up and applauded for a very long time. Master Li then presented a speech and also answered questions from practitioners in the audience. In about two hours total, Master Li spoke about the current situation of Fa rectification and encouraged practitioners, “Cultivate with the heart you once had, and success is certain.”
On July 20, 1999, then CCP leader Jiang Zemin started a nationwide campaign to crack down Falun Gong out of personal jealousy over its popularity in China. The whole country was suddenly engaged in a brutal denunciation against Falun Gong and its founder Master Li Hongzhi. News media, internet, cultural events, diplomatic affairs, educational institutions and financial and medical fields all denunciated Falun Gong as instructed by Jiang. The Chinese national army, city and local courts, police force, labor camps, prisons as well as other law enforcement institutions carried out heavy-handed fights against Falun Gong and its more than 100 million practitioners. Falun Gong practitioners were persecuted with inhuman brutality. They were forced to change their minds about Falun Gong. Many Falun Gong practitioners were even harvested alive for their organs.
Ever since the crackdown, Falun Gong practitioners have been clarifying the truth of the persecution to the public via news media, flyers, court procedures, “Zhen Shan Ren” art exhibitions, etc. Falun Gong has never resorted to violence in its fight against the CCP’s crackdown, and Falun Gong practitioners across the world have been telling the public about Falun Gong, about the persecution in China as well as the evil nature of the CCP over the past fifteen years. As a result, over 180 million Chinese people have decided to quit their CCP memberships and any CCP associated affiliation.
Master Li Hongzhi introduced Falun Gong to the public 22 years ago. Falun Gong teaches people to cultivate themselves based upon the principles of “Zhen Shan Ren”. Millions of people have benefitted both physically and spiritually from practicing Falun Gong. Currently, there are Falun Gong practitioners in over 110 countries around the world, and people everywhere welcome and appreciate Falun Gong. Falun Gong has received more than 3,000 awards. The instructional book Zhuan Falun written by Master Li has been widely published in over 30 different languages.
Cultivation Stories
Falun Gong practitioner Yang Jiahui from the city of Calgary, Canada, started to practice Falun Gong when she was only four or five years old back in China. Ms. Yang would read Zhuan Falun and Hong Yin with her parents back then. One day, Ms. Yang was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to her classmates in her second grade elementary school. She found that many students immediately agreed to quit their CCP affiliated league memberships. One student, however, seemed to be a little hesitant. Ms. Yang then patiently told the student about the bad deeds that the CCP had committed. She indicated to that student it would be unwise to remain attached to the CCP. In the end, Ms. Yang succeeded in her persuasion. Ms. Yang was very encouraged by that experience and has begun doing more truth clarification work since then. Ms. Yang mentioned that she benefitted so much from her practice of Falun Gong. In particular, her art drawings improved so much that her pictures were published on her school journal as well as exhibited in the school hall.
A young practitioner named Gui Zhen also shared his story of personal cultivation. One day in May 2014, Gui Zhen was visiting New York city with his parents when he noticed that he had an attachment to food, comfort and complaining. Gui Zhen thought that those attachments were normal and “wise” back then. However, he later realized that it was not at all “wise” or normal to get attached to those things as all such attachments should be eliminated in the process of his cultivation.
Chen Wen is a Falun Gong practitioner who lives in the city of Los Angeles. Ms. Chen said that once she realized her attachment to jealousy as well as self-importance, she decided to eliminate them. As a result, Ms. Chen saw a significant breakthrough in her Dafa related project. She also said that no matter how tired one may be, one should never neglect one’s Fa study or preparatory work.
Another practitioner from Los Angeles named Fan Yu also shared his story of when he was in China. After the CCP started its crackdown on Falun Gong back in 1999, many Falun Gong practitioners had to leave their homes. Many practitioners were persecuted to death, and thousands of practitioners were harvested alive for their organs. As a result, many Falun Gong families were broken.
Mr. Fan decided to take in those Falun Gong children who were left behind because their parents were either persecuted to death or missing. Gradually, Mr. Fan started taking in so many kids that he figured it would serve the kids better if he established a school for them. With the help of many other fellow practitioners, Mr. Fan eventually assembled a group of teachers and started teaching those kids. To Mr. Fan’s surprise, everything went very smoothly. Normally, it would take a week for the teachers to come up with course arrangements. However, it only took three days to get the job done. At the end of the school year, every child had achieved academic success. All the teachers were amazed as well.
Once, Mr. Fan started an exhibition titled “Saving Lives” in his school. Soon afterwards, many Udumbara flowers appeared in the trees, walls, windows and dining hall, many of which grew in groups.
It is claimed that while answering questions to his disciples once, Buddha said that Udumbara flowers would blossom only once every 3,000 years in response to the mercy and virtue of the arrival of a grand Falun Lord.
The Fa-conference successfully ended at 6:00 PM to the sound of thunderous applause.
