[PureInsight.org] I always felt that my husband did not understand why I have been diligently doing things to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa (or Falun Gong.) I worried that my husband wasn't positioning himself well, and I didn't know what would happen to him. When I talked to one practitioner last month about my concern, she said, "The spouses of a lot of practitioners who have cultivated well have obtained the Fa."
In the past years, I had always gone to Hong Kong to clarify truth during the Chinese New Year holidays. I feel that the holiday period is a good opportunity to clarify the truth. I do not need to worry about taking days off work. Besides, there are a lot of tourists from China who visit Hong Kong during the Chinese New Year. The Hong Kong practitioners need support from Taiwanese practitioners.
During the previous two years, my husband had allowed me to go to Hong Kong to clarify the truth. But he always got angry at me before and after the trip to Hong Kong. I knew it was because of the principle of mutual-generation and mutual-inhibition: There was always trouble waiting for you when you try to achieve a good thing. I didn't get angry at him. But I would stop him if he did anything that harmed the Fa. It is Falun Gong practitioner's responsibility to protect the Fa. In addition, I did not want my husband to generate Karma. There is saying: "Ten years of pre-destiny creates the opportunity to ride on the same boat; a hundred years of pre-destiny creates the opportunity to be a couple." Between a husband and wife, there is always a deep predestined relationship.
If I hadn't let go of my own selfishness, I wouldn't be able to spend the Chinese New Year away from my family, and I wouldn't be able to go to Hong Kong to expose myself to the wind, rain and freezing weather. This year I hesitated about whether or not I should tell my husband that I wanted to go to Hong Kong during the Chinese New Year. I thought that since I hadn't stayed home for the New Year for the two previous years, maybe I should let nature taking its course this year. So I did not bring up the subject with my husband.
At the beginning of the month, my husband asked me if I wanted to take our children to visit Hong Kong this year. It implied that he had agreed for me to go to Hong Kong to clarify the truth during the Chinese New Year again. When I think about it, I realized that my husband has become used to the fact that I do a lot of truth-clarification work. As one fellow practitioner told me, "Maybe one day when you tell your husband you were not going to participate in some Dafa activity, your husband would ask you to go." It turned out to be true. My husband actually asked me to go Hong Kong to clarify the truth there. Even though my husband had to celebrate the New Year alone, he laid a good foundation for his future because of his support for my doing Falun Gong truth-clarification work.
New Tang Dynasty Television's (NTDTV) 2006 Global Chinese New Year Gala will be held in the south of Taiwan this week. I only brought three tickets for my two daughters and me. I asked my husband if he would like to join us. He agreed immediately. My husband has indeed changed and he has accepted the fact that I often attend Falun Dafa activities.
This evening my uncle called and invited our entire family to go to a restaurant to celebrate the New Year. I turned down his invitation because I have already brought tickets to Hong Kong. I felt that my uncle is also here for the Fa, so I introduced the NTDTV Global Chinese New Year Gala to him. He told me that he would do his best to go to the Gala. I talked to him about Falun Dafa and I wrote down his email so that I can clarify truth to him later.
Several days ago, one classmate from elementary school called me and invited me to attend a party for our old teacher. I have always thought about my old classmates and my old teacher. But I didn't have their contact information. Now my classmate has found me. I now have opportunity to clarify the truth to them.
Even though we have to pass a lot of tests during our cultivation, I always felt that no matter which methods we use to clarify the truth, all living beings came to assimilate to and harmonize with the Fa. All my co-workers, friends and relatives came for the Fa and to help rectifying the Fa. More and more I felt that it has become more and more of a reality. Lately the kind attitude that people around me have toward Dafa and Dafa practitioners means that they are assimilating and harmonizing the Fa.
