[PureInsight.org] What do people work for, a salary or self-achievement? After several years practicing Falun Dafa, I realized the meaning of work was to devote yourself in self-improvement at both work skill and Falun Dafa practice. Then we may help others better. The process had difficulties sometimes but surprises everywhere. Even an ordinary and trivial job could become a happy journey.
1. Practice can get shortcuts
Attitude is everything although ability is important. As a new graduate, I had no social experience in the face of professional design from editor and lots of work beyond my responsibility. I thought the leaders embarrassed me just because I was new. I was so frustrated and wanted to cry.
Suddenly I realized I was a Dafa disciple. I should take it as a good opportunity. When I thought it was a good opportunity for cultivation, I had a different perception. The selfishness disappeared and the power to overcome difficulties came after.
I always kept a peaceful mind when I took picture for the officials and foreign visitors in government hall with the professional camera I just mastered; or when I was asked to be the first speaker at the meeting of many departments. The chief editor’s female line manager said, “You are very elegant.” Later the chief editor invited me to have meal together and set up a rule, “you are not allowed to leave if I am here.” How lucky I was! Because of practicing Dafa, I had much experience in several ways by overcoming the stress and fear at work within a short time. At that time, I didn’t expect the experience could make me clarify the truth easily to help others get rid of evil CCP’s lie to Dafa. The arrangement was so meaningful.
2. A humble heart
I worked in two private schools later. Both the bosses knew I was practicing Dafa. One told the parents that I was such good teacher. She released everything including students, financial, and management work to me. The other boss was on the contrary. She enjoyed doing everything by herself. She would be nervous if I put more effort on any of it. How can I get along with two different bosses?
Looking inward was cultivator’s duty. I was dependent and proud as I grew up in prosperity. Cultivation in Dafa made me understand what were responsibility and humility. To work effectively with the first boss, I had to be assertive and regard her career as mine. To work with the second boss, I had to listen to her decision more and accepted her suggestions often. Then both of them were happy working with me.
3. Successful secret in teaching: always give love
People all said today's children were so wicked. Dafa cultivation made me believe: no unruly student, but not enough realm of xinxing. I constantly reminded myself with Dafa: unconditionally give love and compassion even without any return.
At work, I had only one direction: to become unselfish through “Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance". I need to get rid of fame attachment; to treat people at the same level; to work rigorously. I asked myself to be truly useful to others and society.
Under such concept, I could understand what kids need from their view to improve their study and make them grow up happily. I frequently expressed surprise at kids’ good quality; invented easy study game and funny English script to let them discover the fun of learning; inspired their imagination and established traditional values by spreading Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. For several years, my character and profession achieved a good reputation inside and outside campus.
It was all because I practiced Falun Dafa. The magic and wonder of cultivation in Dafa are endless.
