1. The meaning of life and the task of “Zheng Jian”:
“Zheng Jian” (Pure Insight) is science for the future of humankind. It will be essential to understanding the fundamental meaning of life and the needs of humankind. Then it can help people to solve fundamental problems.
As human beings, we wonder what the meaning of life is. Human life was not created in our space, but is from a higher-level space. Some people developed selfishness and have gradually been lowered to the level of the human race. “When dropping down to this level, these lives should be eliminated from the perspectives of supernormal capabilities and the great enlightened beings. However, out of the benevolent compassion, the great enlightened people gave them one more chance and constructed such a special environment and a special dimension.” (Zhuan Falun). After lives dropped to this dimension, they “cannot see the lives of other dimensions and the truth of the universe. Thus these human beings have in fact become lost in the maze.” (Zhuan Falun). Because these human lives are lost in the maze, they cannot realize the relationships between de (virtue) and karma. Human selfishness has led to the decline of morality in all of society . God will not acknowledge “human” beings with no de as human. When the moral standard of society is very low, we face the elimination of the whole human race. One purpose of “Zheng Jian” is to uphold human moral standards so that elimination will not occur and humankind can continue to develop.
“Zheng Jian” will become the science in human society after Fa-rectification. After Fa-rectification, humans will be restored to their original, best stage, and have beautiful lives. “Zheng Jian is going to create a new civilization and a beautiful future for humankind.
2. Problems with Modern Science
Human science should be passed down by God. “Gods arrange the development of human society” (“Law Lecture, Singapore Conference”). But, the “human’s science of today was actually brought by aliens”(“Law Lecture, Canada Conference”). It is not given by God. It is from aliens in the triple world who want to control humans and eventually replace human beings. Therefore, there are restrictions on modern science. The purview of this science is limited to only this physical world and it has reached its peak.
Modern science is based on positive proof. No believing without seeing. “This science now, its understanding of the foundation of matter, the foundation of life and understanding of the universe is completely wrong.” (“Law Lecture, West Coast of America”). Human understanding is always shy of the truth. Because the knowledge of science about the foundation of matter is wrong, humans cannot use resources properly. This has caused the waste of natural resources, pollution of the environment and eventually will lead to the deformation of the human body. Due to the mistakes of science, people believe that humans evolved from monkeys. People do not know about returning to the original true self. The principle of “survival of the fittest” from the theory of evolution has destroyed human beings’ kind nature. Because science cannot prove the relationship between de and karma, people do not know the relationship of cause and effect. Science cannot prove the existence of God, so people commit all kinds of outrages and don’t care at all. This has led to the decline of morality in the human society, which has reached the edge of being destroyed. Science has attacked the nature of what it means to be a human being.
The foundation of this science is wrong. Therefore, “Zheng Jian” is not supplementary to modern science, but is to be established on a new foundation.
3. The conditions for the establishment of Zheng Jian:
Zheng Jian is the result of cosmic change. “Actually the development of human science is just following the arrangement of history. You cannot reach your goal if you want to do it intentionally”(Zhuan Falun).
Master said, “In the future lots of things will happen on a grand and spectacular scale because Fa will come to the human world. Everything humans do not believe will happen and people will be shocked speechless” (“Law Lecture, East Coast of America”). “The genuine reality is bound to bring about a new science and a new understanding. The laws and principles of the universe will appear again in the human world” (“Remaking Humankind”).
The foundation for the development of the new science is the restoration of human morality. God will not allow human science to advance very far without improvement in the moral standard. Along with the process of rectifying Fa, clearance of degenerate people, and eliminating people’s karma, a large number of people will obtain the Fa in the future. The moral standard of humankind will undergo a big leap upward. The morality of all of society will be improved to a very high level. By then, human science will have a fundamental change, and Zheng Jian (pure insight) will be established.
Zheng Jian is not the result of reforming modern scientists because even if they “have mastered all the knowledge of the whole humankind, they are still ordinary people”. They can only work within the framework of modern science; they cannot establish “pure insight”. Pure insight is given to human by God, Master said “What is science? What Buddha and the Gods have mastered is the highest science”(“Law Lecture, Da Yu Shan”). “In the future there will be many experts and scholars whose wisdom will be broadened through the Buddha Fa. They will become the new humankind’s pioneers in different fields of learning” (“Verification”). The establishment of Zheng Jian will not follow a simple process of discarding the old method and replacing it with the new one. “Discard” and “replace” is part of the conventional scientific method, and is simply the substitution of the old with the new at the same level. Zheng Jian is given by God.
4. Explorations into the mission of Zheng Jian
Master is rectifying the Fa if the universe, restoring all living beings back to their most primitive, original, and best state (“Law Lecture, Chang Chun”). Humankind is the object being rectified at the lowest level. Humankind also needs to let go of its deformed elements and return to its best stage. Rectifying Fa in the human world includes breaking away from all deformations in every field, including deformations of science, because modern science has penetrated into every corner of human’s life, and everybody is involved. So rectifying Fa in science is a very important part of rectifying Fa in the human world, including its culture.
The missions of Dafa disciples is “helping Master in the human world”. At the moment, telling people the truth about Falun Gong, revealing the evil deeds done during the Communist government’s persecution of Falun Gong, and offering salvation to people are a very important parts of “helping Master in the human world”. Along with the development of rectifying Fa in the human world, rectifying Fa in science is another of our missions in “helping Master in the human world”. At the moment, most practitioners are busy with revealing the malevolence of the persecutors, and have not realized the urgency of rectifying science. Rectifying Fa in the human world is systematic. We, as disciples, will lay the scientific foundation for the humankind of the future. And this is our mission. Exploring Zheng Jian is “helping Master in the human world” at the same time. Because the foundations of modern science are wrong, it is not allowable to establish Zheng Jian on a wrong foundation. We are going to lay foundations of Zheng Jian for the future new humankind, so that Zheng Jian can develop on the right road, and thus can properly establish the new science for the new civilization. Only in this way can rectifying Fa in the human world be completed.
The “Zheng Jian” website and its English language sister, “PureInsight”, are gardens for exploring the future science. They will be left for future people as guides to the future new culture and new science. The “Zheng Jian” and “PureInsight” websites carry the mission of breaking through human deformations in all aspects and need all disciples’ efforts. At the moment, the “Zheng Jian” and “PureInsight” websites are still quite weak, far from meeting the requirements of a true Zheng Jian/Pure Insight web. This needs all disciples’ support. Without abundant and fruitful articles, the Zheng Jian/Pure Insight web will never meet the requirements.
Though “Zheng Jian”/”PureInsight” are going to be left for future people, they plays a very important role in proving Dafa during the process of rectification. When the misinformed attack Dafa as superstition, disciples can use their wisdom to prove the scientific role of Dafa from a different angle. This can refute the lies of the ignorant bigots to enable people to know the truth of Dafa. Leaving no market for the evil lies, evil will collapse itself and by doing this, we can offer salvation to people and speed up the process of rectifying Fa. Master said in “Verification”: “As a cultivator, you should make use of all feasible conditions to spread Dafa and verify that Dafa is correct and a genuine science, rather than preaching or unrealistic romanticism – this is every cultivator’s obligation.” Every article on the “Zheng Jian”/”PureInsight” websites, no matter whether now or in the future, will have a great influence.
The compilations of what has already been discovered on “Zheng Jian” has already been shaking conventional science. Master said in the “Law Lecture in Singapore” that constantly discovering new cosmos is constantly revealing the secret of the existence of life. I would say that science is being shaken. However, this simple compiling is not the purpose of “Zheng Jian”.
Zheng Jian is a completely different system than modern science. Many disciples have been educated in modern science, and thus have been polluted by it but can perhaps also recognize its pollution. Some disciples like to use modern science to explain things. To establish Zheng Jian you must abandon the influence of modern science, and use Dafa to explain the phenomena. Since we are laying the foundation for the new science for future humankind it would affect the development of future Zheng Jian if the foundation is not pure. Therefore we require articles on “Zheng Jian”/”PureInsight” to be very pure, not polluted by modern science.
5. The Route of Development of Zheng Jian
Master said in Zhuan Falun: “Science has different development routes and can bring different social states. In prehistoric times, the science development of humankind at a different period was all different” (“Law Lecture, Da Yu Shan”). Then what developing route will Zheng Jian take? This is a difficult question to answer. Zheng Jian is a new science in the future of a new humankind. It should be a perfect science. We can get some hint from the Master’s law lectures

Master said “The development of science in ancient China, I would say, is relatively correct.” (“Zhuan Falun Explication”). Of course Zheng Jian may not copy ancient Chinese science, but it can give us some inspiration. “In ancient China, research was carried out directly towards the study of human body, life and universe., Ancient people dared to study what is intangible and invisible and could prove its existence. The impressions in meditation can be raised to a stronger level and eventually they are not only strong, but become tangible and visible. So what is invisible has been developed as visible. Ancient people took a different route in searching for the secrets of life, human body and universe. That route is completely different from the route of modern science” (“Law Lecture, Da Yu Shan”).
Human have their instinctual capabilities, which are now called “supernormal capabilities”. “It is only that with the progress of the human society man has been focusing increasingly upon tangible things in our physical world and become more and more dependent upon our modern tools. As a result, our human instinctual capabilities have become more and more degenerated. In the end, they are made to disappear completely.” (Zhuan Falun) If people can use their natural ability rather than relying on modern tools, there will be no damage to the natural environment and humankind could continue to develop. At the same time, the supernormal abilities could enable Zheng Jian to develop in different space-times and break through the limits of one single material space. Master pointed out some directions in his “Law Lecture in Da Yu Shan”. In the future, there will be human body science. Maybe, in the future, physics, chemistry and other subjects will develop from a different angle, not necessarily from the angle of the west.
In his “Law Lecture on the American West Coast”, Master also mentioned the origins of materials such as oil, soil, gold and the like. I don’t think Master was just telling us some facts. Maybe this is one direction for development of Zheng Jian. Is it not talking about the understanding of the foundation of matter here? Only when you understand the foundation of matter can you use and reuse it properly. The ancient Five Element Theory and the principles of inter-generation and inter-inhibition may be applicable to the recycling of materials. Of course, we understand that, no matter how advanced Zheng Jian becomes, it will still have its limits. Master said in “Law Lecture at the Europe Convention”: “I say science can never reach, in other words, can never develop to the degree of the realm that a Buddha has. No matter how this science develops, humans are still ordinary people. Please think about it, ordinary people have seven emotions and six desires and have all kinds of attachments.”
6. Subjects for “Zheng Jian”
Zheng Jian (Pure Insight) is the new science for humankind after Fa-rectification, it should be the manifestation of Zhen Shan Ren at this lowest human level. As Master said in “Lun Yu”, “Only through ‘the Buddha Fa’ can the mysteries of the universe, time-space, and the human body be completely unveiled. It is able to truly distinguish what is righteous from evil, good from bad, and eliminate all misconceptions while providing what is correct.”…”Throughout the ages, only ‘the Buddha Fa’ has been able to provide a clear exposition of humanity, every dimension of material existence, life, and the entire universe.”
From this statement of Master, we can see the future Zheng Jian should include the study of the human body, life, matter, space-time, and the universe. Studies on matter and space-time could also be incorporated into the subject of the universe. Thus the mission of “Zheng Jian”/”PureInsight” is to encourage Dafa disciples’ study and exploration of the human body, life and the universe. Zheng Jian should be three-dimensional science, a multiple space-time science. The following is a discussion of some of the fields of study to be included:
A. Human Body Science
Human body science can include the origin of human beings’ true spirit, the relationship between true spirit and the brain, the structure of the human body, the human body in multiple dimensions, channels and passages, virtue, karma itself and its transformations, the cause and effect relationship between virtue and karma, disease, medicine, the human body’s natural capabilities, the new culture of humankind, and the like. The crucial point of the new culture of humankind is the virtue of humankind. Master said in “Law Lecture in America”, ‘Let me tell you. The reason that everything of humankind is degenerated is because human’s morality is degenerated. You cannot solve any problem if you do not start from here. You can solve any problem of humankind if you start from the point of virtue.”
B. Life
Exploring for life should be a matter of respect for Gods rather than trying to prove their existence by using instruments based on science. People would do anything if they did not believe in God. They behave wantonly and eventually will be punished. It may also involve a few life-being in other dimensions to make people realize that human beings are the lowest life-beings. Explorations of life may also cover other life beings; plants, matter, particles, the earth, and all material things have life. Master said “there is no such thing as coincidence and nothing is accidental. Everything has its reason.” (“Law Lecture, Europe”). So an area of study might be to let people understand that phenomena in nature, such as thunder and lightning, earthquakes, disease, hot weather (for example, when following a nuclear explosion in India), eruptions of volcanoes, and many others, all have their reasons.
C. Universe
The human body consists of matter, so the use of matter is essential and necessary because humans have to maintain human life. How to use matter properly is a subject for new humankind. This will involve future physics and chemistry. These subjects will need to be established from a new basis.
Zheng Jian will be involved with different space-time dimensions. Only in this way can people understand more truth about the universe. He Tu, Luo Shu, Yi Jing, and Tai Ji, Bagna, are all from ancient China and all are higher science. They present principles of the universe at different levels. If you want to know principles at different levels, Zheng Jian will be involved with new astronomy and new mathematics.
Humankind has had civilizations at different periods of time. These civilizations have been destroyed due to the deterioration of morality. It is helpful for humankind to know these historical lessons. Zheng Jian will be involved with pre-history.
