[PureInsight.org] Master said in "Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Washington DC Fa Conference," "A Dafa disciple … what's a Dafa disciple? He's a being created by the most magnificent Fa, (enthusiastic applause) and he's rock-solid and as indestructible as diamond." It is so true that the great Fa has forged us. We are particles of the Fa and each one of us has abilities. In fact, Dafa has everything and Dafa has already endowed us with endless abilities and infinite wisdom. It is only because we are blocked and restrained by layers and layers of our postnatal degenerate human notions and fundamental attachments that we haven't yet given up, that we cannot see the truth of the universe and have our abilities unlocked.
One practitioner noticed that the English Dafa truth clarification materials in her area consisted of only a single page, so she decided to add one more page to it. Although this practitioner's English skills were at the middle school level, she didn't let that get her down. She spent two whole nights making a page of a truth journal with both pictures and text. Other practitioners all thought it was well done after seeing it and were surprised that she could produce good English material with her limited English. She said that she wanted to do this thing well from her heart, and when she had this thought, the ability and wisdom all poured in. She said that Dafa had given all of this. Honorable Master has said, "Actually, every Dafa disciple has abilities. It's just that the abilities do not manifest in the surface dimension, so they think that they don't have supernormal abilities. But regardless of whether they can manifest in the surface dimension or not, when a person's True Thoughts come forth, they are very powerful." In reality, our abilities and wisdom not being fully brought into play isn't because of the restriction and influence of external conditions, it's because of our own problems. It won't help if we search outside of ourselves. Instead, we have to look inward. Our problems come from ourselves; if we give up our egos, our wisdom and abilities will be unlocked. To get rid of the ego, one has to fundamentally wipe off all degenerate human notions. These notions are like dirt covering up our prenatal, pure and benevolent nature, making us lost in human society, resulting in our not understanding the inner meanings of the Fa and because of this we tend to fall into the conventional pattern and measure things and do things according to the definitions, laws, theorems and behavior patterns of humans. When we study the Fa from the perspective of the Fa, enlighten to the Fa, get rid of self-interest, put down our egos, and fundamentally eliminate our rigid human notions, locks will be opened up, many problems will be easily solved, and the opportunity and wisdom to validate the Fa will occur.
Some practitioners hesitate whenever the moment of choice comes about. They think, "Can I do this? Am I able to do well?" They never thought about how this hesitation has exposed their human hearts; they are not steadfast in the Fa and do not believe in themselves. Our honorable Master has said, "I am teaching them something from college, and they always ask me about an elementary school pupil's things, such as how to guide and use mind activities. They are already accustomed to that approach. They think that qigong is like that when, in fact, it is not." (From "Practicing Only One Cultivation Way" in Lecture Three of Zhuan Falun)
In fact, during the whole process of Fa-rectification, there will always be the question of how much faith we have in the Fa. However much faith we have in the Fa is how much power the Fa will manifest in us. There is also the issue of enlightenment in the Fa. The deeper and more thorough our understandings on the Fa are, the larger the cosmic body we rectify, and the more opportunities we will have to apply our abilities.
Dafa has given us so much. Master treasures us more than we do ourselves. We cannot only take from the Fa without contributing something. We are shouldering the great trust of sentient beings and have undertaken sacred historical missions. We should treasure this opportunity of Fa-rectification that won't happen again in this universe. We should bring the wisdom and ability of every Dafa disciple into full play during the Fa-rectification period.
If we study the Fa rationally and with a clear mind, enlighten to the Fa righteously and melt into the Fa, our abilities will not be restrained by anything and we will be able to walk the path in front of us.
