[PureInsight.org] I am 71-years-old and began to practice Dafa in 1998. Master has always helped me along my cultivation path, and I know it is very important to follow the Fa.
In Essentials for Further Advancement, Master said: “Having heard the Tao in the morning, one can die in the evening.”
I had only a superficial understanding of Master’s words, but the recent death of my elder sister on April 7, gave me a better understanding of the depth of Master’s words.
My sister has always supported my cultivation and kept a positive attitude towards Dafa and Master. After the persecution started, she helped practitioners keep Dafa books and truth-clarification materials safe, and harbored practitioners who were forced to leave their homes.
My sister was rewarded for these good deeds. Although she lived in relatively poor conditions, she was living healthily. Earlier this year, she began to listen to Master’s lectures and liked them very much, but she still had not learned the exercises.
Then early in March, the symptoms of diabetes, cirrhosis, and heart disease, etc. appeared so her children sent her to hospital. In her mind, she kept reciting, “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” She also told me that she would follow Master’s arrangement.
Several hours before she passed away, she was unable to speak. I told her to continue reciting, “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” and she nodded. She slipped away peacefully to the music, “Pudu” and “Jishi.”
One of the guests attending the funeral had his celestial eye open. He told me that my sister left on a lotus throne and she seemed very serene. From this, I had a better understanding, “Having heard the Tao in the morning, one can die in the evening.” I also realized that ordinary people nowadays are special.
In the “Fa Teaching at the 2007 New York Fa Conference,” Master said: “If someone dares to say ‘Falun Dafa is good’ during this period of time when the persecution is happening--just based on that one heartfelt statement, and without doing anything else--this person will definitely return to his original place! (Applause) Why is that? During this period of time and amidst an evil environment, he still dares to validate the Fa, so he will definitely become a divine being. Whoever does even just a small kind deed or minor good thing for Dafa disciples during this time of persecution will definitely become a divine being!”
Now, with deeper understanding of these words, I decided to do better in doing the three things and fulfilling my prehistoric vows.
Here I would like to conclude this article with a poem by Master:
“Gaining the Fa”
Cultivate Dafa with all your heart,
Nothing could be more important.
Become one with Dafa,
And Consummation is, in time, certain.”
