[PureInsight.org] Not long ago, I received an email from a fellow practitioner. He raised a question about the way that the two wrongly sentenced Singaporean Falun Gong practitioners had interacted with the Singapore police. He wrote, "If they had apologized to the police and left Esplanade Park right away when the police asked them to, or if they had apologized to the police soon afterwards, they might have avoided these troubles and the practitioners in Singapore might face a lot less pressure from the Singapore government now."
I believe that a good number of fellow practitioners have the same question in mind not only about the Esplanade Park incident but also about other similar incidents.
Since our cultivation practice is taking place in the secular world, we interact with non-cultivators on a daily basis. It follows that it is essential for us to be able to determine whether there are evil elements from other dimensions behind the scenes when we encounter obstacles in our truth-clarification work.
If people do not approve of or bully Falun Gong practitioners because of their notions or misunderstandings, we should patiently explain to them the truth about Falun Gong. Teacher requires all Falun Gong practitioners not to fight back when we are beaten or cursed at. A genuine Falun Gong practitioner doesn't retaliate or become emotional when he is subject to everyday people's bullying.
However, when the bullying is directed by evil beings from other dimensions to obstruct our truth-clarification work, we must eliminate them right away. In this type of situation, if we give in, we will have let Teacher down and let our historical mission down. This is a matter of principle in the cultivation practice in the Fa-rectification period. Needless to say, we must adhere to our principle rationally and wisely and we must not take extreme action at any time, but we must have a clear idea of our mission. Under no circumstances should we give in to or compromise with the evil beings from other dimensions. We must have very righteous thoughts and a very determined faith.
Given our different understandings of the Fa and different cultivation levels, we naturally have different perspectives on whether there are evil elements manipulating people to obstruct our truth-clarification work in specific situations. However, when it comes to important events or severe incidents, such as the Esplanade Park Incident, it is important for us to be able to identify whether there are evil elements involved. In my humble opinion, it is not difficult to identify the presence of the evils. All we need to do is to find out whether the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is involved.
Since the CCP started to openly persecute Falun Gong, it has become the evil's headquarters in the human realm directing all forms of persecution against Falun Gong. It follows that whenever the CCP is behind the scene of an incident obstructing Falun Gong practitioners' truth-clarification work, the root cause must be coming from the evil beings from other dimensions and we must not give any ground to it. Besides sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil beings in other dimensions, it is also our mission to safeguard the Fa in the human realm.
If we should regard such demonic interferences as the Esplanade Park Incident as a form of hostility from everyday people and try to solve the problem by smoothing things over with the police and leaving the Esplanade Park, we would be doing the truth-clarification work with everyday people's notions and mentalities and thus leave ourselves open for further exploitation by evil. On a more serious note, it would be similar to writing a guarantee not to practice Falun Gong. The Fa is the most solemn thing in the world. We must not judge things that happen in our cultivation practice with conventional reasoning.
Take the Esplanade Park incident as an example. The Singapore government's attitude towards this incident has been basically in line with that of the Beijing government. Why did the Singapore police not charge the two Falun Gong practitioners for distributing Falun Gong truth-clarification VCDs until one year later? In fact, they did not charge the two practitioners until Singapore's high-ranking officials were about to visit Beijing. It is obvious that the prosecution was a statement of their loyalty to Beijing. After the visit to Beijing, the case didn't progress for quite a while. For a period of time, there was a rumor that the CCP was planning to stop banning Falun Gong. During that period of time, it appeared that the Singapore government was not going to proceed with the legal prosecution. Next the Epoch Times published "The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" which unleashed the global trend to withdraw from the CCP and all of its affiliates. The CCP began to panic. It happened that Lee Kuan Yew was about to visit Shanghai at the time. It was alleged that he was asked to make a statement in Singapore to divert the public's attention from "The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party." The next thing we saw was Magistrate Wong Li Tein rendering an unjust verdict and an unreasonable statement in the Singapore Subordinate Court 20 on April 27, 2005.
All signs have indicated that it is the CCP that has been manipulating the Esplanade Park incident as one of the ways to fight back against "The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" and the global trend to withdraw from the CCP. It is imperative for us Falun Gong practitioners in the Fa-rectification period to have a clear understanding of this incident because our thoughts will have an impact on everyday people. Once we realize the CCP's motive behind the Esplanade Park incident, we know this was not something that we should solve by "apologizing" to the police. It is a battle between the righteous and the evil. We must defeat the evil in order to save the Singaporean people from the Communist evil specter.
Take the rally in New York City on April 23, 2005 to celebrate that one million people had quit the CCP as another example. In order to investigate the "Nine Commentaries Phenomena", the CCP has dispatched a special investigation group to the U.S. Moreover, a day before the rally, the CCP organized a anti-Japan rally in front of the United Nations in New York City in order to divert the public's attention from our rally the next day. As a result, the western media were drawn to the anti-Japan rally and did not report much on the "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" or the global phenomena to quit the CCP. It was abnormal that the western media would neglect such breaking news after the disintegration of the former Soviet Union and the collapse of the Berlin Wall. The CCP has given a lot of pressure, as well as economic incentives, not to report positive news regarding Falun Gong.
According to the research of Harvard University scholars, the CCP has set up the strictest Internet filters to ban its people from accessing two types of websites --- those related to its June 4 Massacre at Tiananmen Square and others related to "The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party." It shows that the CCP is terribly frightened of "The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" and the global trend to quit the CCP.
It follows that the CCP was terrified of the rally in New York City when people from all walks of life participated in the grand march to celebrate the fact that one million people have withdrawn from the CCP. It would stop at nothing to prevent the western media from reporting the rally. If the news should be spread to the Chinese people, it would face immediate threat of collapse. This was the reason why the NYPD suddenly decided to cancel our march route in New York City's Chinatown, the heart of the Chinese population, with no valid reason and ordered us to have the rally and march in a rather quiet area with little traffic, which would defeat the whole purpose of having the celebration march. The root cause of NYPD's unreasonable attitude was not any different from that of the Singapore police at the Esplanade Park. They were both manipulated by the Communist evil specter from other dimensions to deter our cause. The CCP can barely maintain its persecution against Falun Gong, and it knows very well it can never eliminate Falun Gong. More importantly, "The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" and the global trend to quit the CCP are a threat to the life of the CCP. This is why the CCP is trying with all its might to stop "The Nine Commentaries" from spreading.
Like the two Singapore Falun Gong practitioners, the Falun Gong practitioners in North America did not give in when the NYPD canceled our original route. For two days Falun Gong practitioners kept contacting their representatives in the U.S. Congress, the White House, NYPD, U.S. Department of Justice, the media and the New York City Mayor's Office. Two days later, the NYPD granted us the original route again. We had the grand march in New York City's Chinatown as we had planned to celebrate the fact that one million people have quit the CCP. It was by no means an ordinary parade.
The Eutelsat incident is a similar issue. A U.S. Congressman's legal assistant once asked, "Can you find another satellite company to broadcast your programs?" The question was similar to the question the fellow practitioner raised, "Why didn't the two Singapore practitioners just apologize to the Singapore police?" Do you really believe that the CCP will not harass the next satellite company? Do you really believe that the Singapore police will not obstruct the Singaporean practitioners from clarifying the truth next time if they made an apology to smooth things over? Does it not tell you anything that the Eutelsat incident occurred just a few months after NTDTV started broadcasting "The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party"? Similarly, Falun Gong practitioners did not give in to the interference from the Communist evil specter. We have been repeatedly clarifying the truth to the U.S., Canadian, and European lawmakers and we have been given a period of broadcast extension during the parley.
These examples have illustrated the importance for us Falun Gong practitioners to identify the presence of the evil when we encounter obstacles in our truth-clarification work. We must never give in to the evil beings from other dimensions at any time.
