[PureInsight.org] Master, who has arranged everything so it might be resolved the best way possible, had told us that Mr. Jiang and his minions now live for us, for our purposes.
Reflecting on that comment, I got to think back, to the beginning of my cultivation path since 1997. I was on my way to my first fahui, the one in San Francisco/San Jose, California in early July 1999, the only Westerner, accompanied by many practitioners from our local area, including small children. On the airplane we chatted excitedly about the possibility of Master addressing our gathering at this splendid hotel, encouraging the 1,300 of us to continue on the path of cultivation. Then someone announced the news, that Master was dealing with the sudden, sad developments in China and would not be present to address us.
That was indeed a dark day.
The fahui proceeded as planned, but without my opportunity to meet Master in person. I got my first impression of the outstanding cooperation among the practitioners who had arrived from far and wide, the orderliness of our conduct, even during an unexpected fire scare in this huge hotel. All of us were gathered in the ballroom, listening to others' presentations when the fore emergency was announced. Everyone remained calm; no one panicked; all sat quietly, reading from Zhuan Falun. This in itself was marvelous to observe. The power of Dafa was with us.
Later that day we were told of the official banning of Falun Dafa in China. We were stunned and did not yet quite fathom what this would mean and could entail. Most of us, living in freedom, could not believe that this was actually happening, when this outstanding practice had previously been heaped with official praise and the Chinese government had issued complimentary certificates that were available on the Internet, for all to see. People in the auditorium were saddened but hopeful, and resolute to carry out our mission Master has endowed us with.
Newspaper reporters appeared among us, wanting to interview some of us regarding this fahui, the practice of Falun Dafa and the sudden developments in China. I agreed to an interview conducted by a Chinese/American reporter from a prestigious San Jose paper, but told him, "If you misrepresent anything I tell you, you and your ancestors for generations to come will have to suffer the consequences." He looked at me, shocked, and then told me in a small voice that he would heed my words. True to his promise, the interview appeared verbatim in next morning's edition of the San Jose Merkur, giving an accurate description of the practice of Falun Dafa and hinting at the "why" and "how come" of this newly-decreed new persecution in China. Of course at that time I had no clue of the extent to which Mr. Jiang would eventually go, to sabotage the intent of good people and make villains into heroes.
Since then it has become increasingly clear to me – as horrid as this persecution is, and as gruesome the sufferings are that many practitioners in China have to endure – had it not been for this persecution, the practice of Falun Dafa would not have been known by that many people around the world in such a relatively short period of time. The suffering the practitioners in China have endured are unimaginable in scope and cruelty. Such horrific acts! It is totally puzzling to me how fellow human beings can deal with other human beings in such a bestial manner, particularly perpetrating these hurts on their own countrymen! These despicable deeds have raised the ire among conscientious people around the world, who are condemning these barbaric acts and their mastermind.
That misguided Chinese despot's directives have worked to our advantage, as Master had hinted. Were it not for this tyrant's ways of dealing with our Falun Gong people, what has happened to us and is still happening would not have aroused the ire of the rest of the world at this man's doings. Because of his devilish actions, he has made it possible for us to let conscientious people around the globe know what he has done, how he has done it, and why it must stop. Our factual explanations to people in all walks of life, here and in countries around the world, particularly in China – through telephone calls, letter writing campaigns, re-enactments of torture methods, photo displays and information days – have opened the eyes of people. They begin to comprehend, show empathy, sympathy and take various kinds of action to help us stop this insane persecution. This human devil enabled us to come together as a whole much sooner and fight the good fight against evildoers everywhere, so that we might once again practice our belief system, unhindered and without penalty. So, dawn is nearing.
People around the world realize the incongruous nature of this persecution and are doing their best to help stop it. Even the recent incidents in Europe and the very latest incident in Johannesburg serve to our advantage, not to the tyrant's advantage, because they expose ever more clearly this insane man's intent to squash a belief system that can only serve to make people around the world better human beings. Just think of the many police officers, customs officials and legislators in all kinds of nations around the hemispheres who are now familiar with the purpose for Falun Dafa, something they had never known before. Numerous guards in camps in China, several police officers and even officials in the notorious "610 Offices" have also had a change of heart when they finally grasped the truth behind the aims of this persecution. For that we must also be grateful and thank the marvelous Dafa practitioners for their excellent job to explain the facts to them. Dawn is getting brighter.
We will persevere to the end of this huge trial. Our combined righteous thoughts and actions are certainly more powerful than any ill-conceived notions that demonic man in Beijing can come up with. We, who abide by Master's teachings and wisdom, will let our joint, immense mental courage and powers overcome all evil and will to soar toward a tremendous victory. Our Dafa brothers and sister in China who are still suffering – please take courage! We will never desert you! Dawn is giving way to a brilliant sunrise, waiting over the horizon.
