To ignite the torch
behold its timeless fire
bearing promise and hope renewed

freedom to find courage and song
to diminish China's darkness
and right its many wrongs.
Awakening a stifled conscience
come follow the emerging flame
raising truth from the fading embers
bringing persecution to shame.
Behind the walls and tears
a beckoning from Ages past
when peace unfolds to glory days
from realms where shadows cast.
Closer to the hour
a turning of bitter tides
distant to now destined shores
together towards brighter skies.
