[PureInsight.org] According to Chongqing Morning Network, a tragedy happened in Fuling District, Chongqing City on June 7, 2010—the first day of college entrance exams. On his way back home after sending his daughter to the exams, a man was struck on the head by a steel pipe that fell from a building under construction. The man bled heavily and died on the scene. His wife witnessed the accident and cried out his name again and again in anguish, but there was no answer. To minimize distraction for her daughter during the exam period, the wife had to control herself. She hid her grief and lied to her daughter, telling her that her father had been suddenly sent away on a business trip.
After reading this story, I felt sad for the victim and especially painful for his wife and daughter. Meanwhile, I remembered a similar incident with the opposite outcome.
In Zhuan Falun by Mr. Li Hongzhi, it says, “Another case took place in Changchun. A building was under construction near a practitioner’s home. Nowadays, buildings are built very high, and the scaffolding is made of iron poles that are two inches in diameter and four meters long. After this practitioner walked a short distance from home, an iron pole fell vertically from the high-rise building all the way to his head. The people on the street were all astonished. He said, ‘Who patted me?’ He thought that someone had patted his head. At that very moment, he turned his head and saw a big Falun rotating above his head. That iron pole had slid down along his head and stuck into the ground without falling down. If it indeed stuck into a person’s body—think about it, everyone—it would penetrate the body as if skewering candied hawthorn fruits, as it was so heavy. It was very dangerous! ... There are so many of these cases that they cannot be numbered. Yet no danger has occurred. Not everyone will encounter these kinds of things, but some individuals will run into them. Whether you come across them or not, I can assure you that you will not be in any danger—I can guarantee this.” (Zhuan Falun, Lecture Three)
An article was published on Minghui.net on May 13, 2010 entitled, “A Person with No Injury after Being Hit by a Steel Pipe.” In this article, the practitioner wrote, “I am now 81 years old and I attended the first lecture class given by Master. I am the person mentioned in Zhuan Falun who suffered no injury after being hit by a steel pipe. Master, I miss you very much! I know you can tell it is me when I share my experience of this. I have been waiting for you to visit your hometown.” At the end of the article, he wrote, “I am very healthy and I will live well waiting for Master to return. I am a living example who witnessed that what Master said is all true.” When preparing his article, this elderly practitioner was in tears (according to another practitioner who helped submit the article). We readers may also be deeply touched by this story.
This is just one example. After Falun Gong was introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in 1992, it has brought countless benefits to people throughout society. Many of the practitioners were severely ill and had diseases considered incurable according to medical experts. After practicing Falun Gong, however, they miraculously recovered, which shocked and puzzled many medical experts. Through practicing Falun Gong and disciplining themselves with the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, practitioners improved their minds and bodies, benefiting their families, work, and society. Under the protection of Master's Fashen, many practitioners survived numerous accidents with no mishaps. Even an everyday person who does not practice Falun Gong can benefit after learning the truth and reciting, “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” For example, some such people survived cancer, some recovered from paralysis and were able to stand again, some were without injury despite being in a car accident, and some had their whole family survive an earthquake [that killed many people around them]. There are countless examples like these.
However, despite all its benefits, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) chose to attack Falun Gong and even intended to eliminate it completely. After 11 years, this attempt by the CCP has failed and Falun Gong has instead spread widely throughout the world. Falun Gong has now been introduced to 114 nations and districts in Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Australia, and Africa. The principle books of Falun Gong, including Zhuan Falun and Falun Gong, have been translated into more than 30 languages and published worldwide.
The principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance have illuminated the world and enlightened numerous human beings. This is unprecedented in history, a triumph of righteousness over evil and peace over violence. This is also a process of rebuilding a divine culture and saving people on a large scale. Due to its benefits and contributions to society, Falun Gong has received more than 2000 awards worldwide. Dr. Franz Susman, professor of the history of the Catholic Church in Austria, said, “Falun Gong is the biggest hope for mankind because its teachings and practices are in harmony with each other.”
