[PureInsight.org] There was a
traffic jam and the bus moved very slowly. The middle-aged man sitting
next to me sighed and seemed very agitated. Seeing his weary face, I
smiled at him saying, "Do not worry. It will get better after this
traffic light." He looked at me and sighed again. I continued talking
to him with a smile, "It seems you are very upset. How are things
going?" He then began to talk. His disappointment did not just stem
from the traffic jam but from many undesirable things in his life. He
talked about where he came from, his work, his life, and so on.
When hearing such things in the past, I would not pay attention when
listening. Now, I have learned to fully listen to others when they
speak. I realized that this person sitting in front of me - although a
stranger - needed to share with others his experiences and feelings.
Everyone in the world has this need, isn't that the case? So I listened
to him attentively. When he was talking emotionally, I nodded
empathetically. I did not say a word, but just sat there listening.
This is a person with many sufferings. It was hard to guess how long he
had gone without sharing his feelings with others - either he couldn't
find the right person to share with, or else he knew it would not help
even if he had done so. In any case, it was a precious opportunity for
me to meet him on the bus - maybe our encounter had been waiting to
happen for a very long time. He probably had been lost in the maze and
forgotten about the real purpose of life, which I knew. I am a
practitioner who knows the truth about Falun Dafa and who came at this
moment to bring it to him.
The traffic improved, and the bus was approaching my bus stop just as
he finished talking. I thought, "I won't get off until I tell him the
truth about Dafa." So I asked his name and he told me. I then said,
"It's been really nice to meet you today, and I agree with what you
have said. There are many problems and life is not easy. First of all,
you need to have a good future before all these problems can be
resolved." He listened attentively. I continued, "As you know, there
are so many disasters happening [in China right now], so having a safe
and peaceful future is very important for everyone. Did you join the
Chinese Communist Party (CCP) before?" He said, "Yes." I then said,
"Well, let's talk about something very important. Right now, nearly 40
million people around the world have renounced the CCP and its puppet
organizations. This is because Heaven will punish the CCP for its
wicked deeds. I will give you a DVD now, and it explains this very
clearly. Anyone who stays with the CCP will descend and be buried with
it. Now I want to help you quit the CCP using an alias so that you will
have a better future from now on. Is this all right with you?" I was
speaking sincerely as I handed him the DVD.
He nodded again and again. I did not know if it was my listening
attentively that moved him or if his mind was awakened and realized he
had been waiting for this chance for a long time. He nodded and
accepted the DVD with both hands. He then shook hands with me with
tears in his eyes and said, "Thank you! Thank you!"
After getting off the bus, I was very touched when standing by the
traffic lights, "By listening attentively, we can bring hope to other
people. The truth of Dafa will save people and give them a bright
future."
