How Does Acupuncture Work?

has undergone many changes through its development. In the very
beginning, the ancient Chinese people used the shibian (stone needle),
which is regarded as the most primitive needle. Very few people today
know the wonderful usage of shibian, which is, in fact, more effective
than today's needle. Later on, needles were invented, then a lot more
varieties were created, and also many acupuncture techniques. In
Chinese medicine, there is a saying that "a bad doctor pays attention
to the form and a good doctor pays attention to the spirit." It means a
bad doctor only works hard on the superficial techniques, while a good
doctor pays attention to both form and spirit.



How does acupuncture work? One has to understand its origin in order to
understand its principles. Needless to say, acupuncture was imparted by
the gods and therefore has its special mechanism. In other words,
god-imparted things are divine, intelligent and efficacious. While one
is treating illness using acupuncture, its intelligence will
communicate with heaven and obtain help from heaven.  Besides
acupuncture, when a doctor of Chinese medicine concentrates his
attention and empty his mind without distracting thoughts, he will
naturally connect to heaven and get the help from there.



People know that no modern scientific method can detect the existence
of meridians. But the cultivators in ancient China could draw them on
paper. This shows that meridians exist in other dimensions. Then how
could substances in this dimension such as needles and Chinese mugwort
touch other dimensions? When an acupuncturist sticks the needles into a
patient's body, he sometimes leaves the needles there for a while and
the illness is cured. How is it done? Because gods imparted
acupuncture, it is divine and has special abilities and can work on the
meridians in other dimensions. This is based on the same principle of
the gods creating man with the earth and creating the soul of man.
There is a paragraph in Zhuan Falun,

"In addition to human beings and animals, plants are also lives. Any
matter's life can manifest in other dimensions. When your Celestial Eye
reaches the level of Fa Eyesight, you will find that rocks, walls, or
anything can talk to you and greet you."



Gods not only imparted things to man, but also left the room for man to do research and development on them. Therefore, since The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Alchemy,
many techniques of acupuncture were developed. Later on, more and more
techniques were developed and people became less and less aware of the
basic principles on which acupuncture works. But anyhow, the gods
imparted acupuncture. Regardless of who is using it, as long as he has
virtue and medical ethics, he will see good healing effects, which is
because of the help from heaven.
