Chinese brush painting: "King of the Mountains" by Zhang Cuiying

[PureInsight.org] For the Chinese people, the tiger is the king of all beasts. It is the symbol of dignity, power and bravery. Chinese people have been fond of tigers since ancient times, and it is one of the twelve signs of the Chinese zodiac. This giant tiger with two ears alert and looks on with a sharp gaze. Its roar makes mountains ring and valleys echo. Its four limbs are quick and agile though it has a huge body. Its powerful body and quick steps give an impression as if it is leaping out of the paintings towards us.
