Udumbara Flowers Found at a Practice Site in Flushing, NY

A Dafa Disciple

[PureInsight.org] Many Udumbara flowers were seen recently at a Falun Dafa practice site in Flushing, New York, NY. The practice site is located at the corner of Union Street & 33rd Avenue. By observing closely, one can see the small, white blossoms, both in singular form and in clusters, attached to the tree branches and leaves.

According to scriptures of the Buddha School, Udumbara is a Sanskrit term. It refers to a flower that is white or light greenish in colour, known as the blossom of Buddha School. These flowers usually appear in clusters and their roots are not connected to each other. These flowers have a height of 8 or 9 millimetres and are bell-shaped. From pictures taken under microscope, one can clearly see the petals, pistil, and stamen. The petals are slightly open, and the stems are thin, delicate, and resilient. These flowers are beautiful, fragrant and elegant.

As a result of environmental damage, lacewing eggs can be found in many places. They appear similar to Udumbara flowers and sometimes even coexist with them. But one can see the difference in the two by observing closely, and we have seen more Udumbara than lacewing eggs. Lacewing eggs are oval and vary in colour from light green to gray. They are of similar size and, if one presses them between fingers lightly, they turn into dark green liquid. In addition, no petals can be seen under a microscope at any angle. As time progresses, the egg’s color turns gray and, and depending on the temperature, will hatch in 3 to 15 days. The insect climbs out of the egg and the egg withers while the stem becomes stiff. In contrast, the Udumbara stays a pure white colour all the time.

According to scriptures of the Buddha School, Udumbara is a flower of auspiciousness and “when it blossoms once every three thousand years, the King of Gold Wheel will come out.” “Udumbara blossom comes from heaven and it is not something in this earthly world. When the King of Gold Wheel comes, his mighty virtue is so immense that Udumbara blossoms emerge.”

It is in this historical era of history that the heavenly flower mentioned by Shakyamuni has come. The Holy King Who Turns the Wheel has descended to this human world to save people. Please wake up and do not miss this unprecedented opportunity.
